The only Bali 4.8 on the west coast is now being offer for sale by the original owners who bought it here and had it shipped directly to California to avoid the where and tear on the yacht.

    • In the saloon the head room is 6 foot 9 inches
    • In the cabins is 6 foot 7 inches.

To date, the BALI 4.8 Open Space is the only catamaran of its size to offer a layout configuration in 6 cabins and 6 bathrooms. Never seen before, if the two forepeaks are fitted out and adding the bench seats in the saloon, no less than 16 adults could sleep inside, not counting the outdoor spaces, benches and sunbathing area, forward, aft and on the fly bridge that can comfortably accommodate lovers of stargazing... But to accommodate all the crew comfortably, you need very large storage capacity. With 1,000 litres of fresh water and 615 litres of refrigeration volume, the BALI 4.8 Open Space is at the top of its category... including the ice-maker!

If the BALI 4.8 is named the "Open Space", it is not by chance. the super-sized interior space is completely "open" and "transforms", thanks to the large motorized tilt-and-turn door that fully opens up the space in seconds, and the new forward door that provides access to the bows and forward cockpit with its lounge space and large sunbathing area, without having to use the external side-decks. The large, fully retractable front window and sliding side windows provide optimal ventilation and panoramic views of the outdoors. Another new feature, for increased privacy, is access to the aft cabins (or central cabins depending on the configuration) which is via two large hatches opening into the aft cockpit. The companionways give easy and secure access to comfortable cabins with a warm atmosphere.

      • Common rail technology is a digitally controlled, high-pressure fuel injection and

sensor system that optimizes engine efficiency & performance. This results in reduced emissions, minimal noise, and peak power output, significantly improving the engine’s overall efficiency and comfort onboard.

      • Multiple sensors throughout the engine intelligently feed operating conditions and performance requirements to the ECU. The system monitors the throttle position, various temperatures, rail and pressure, intake air pressures, and both crank and cam positions. Based on the feedback from the sensors, the ECU regulates fuel from the supply pump into a single high-pressure fuel rail and digitally activated injectors. This controls precisely when and how much fuel to inject. A common rail system can supply between one and five injections to each cylinder over the course of a cycle, rather than one single injection in a mechanically controlled fuel system.

      • Yanmar’s has electronics necessary to connect directly to the boat’s NMEA2000 instrument network, as well as the VC10 electronic throttles and other controls via a J1939 CAN bus. These include the YD42 smart panel display, which will toggle through engine data such as load percentage and engine hours, as well as standard navigational data like depth and wind speed. ‘Direct connectivity to NMEA and J1939 CAN-bus networks has been purpose engineered into the 4LV range, allowing future-proofed integration to any multifunction bridge display. Same counts for the 3JH40 and the rest of our common rail engine range,’ adds Gesink.
